Screen Talent Europe Pitching Forum 2026

Get to know a new generation of filmmakers from across Northern Europe, and enjoy a preview of tomorrow’s standout short films!

This year marks the 11th edition of the Screen Talent Europe Pitching Forum, where young European short film creators are invited to Grimstad to present their projects. The event takes place at Pan in Kulturhuset, where participants pitch their ideas in front of both an audience and an international jury. The winner receives a production grant of €4,000, awarded by Screen Talent Europe.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Enjoy a light refreshment while being inspired by new ideas from emerging filmmakers. Hosted by Norwegian YouTuber and TV personality Herman Dahl, the session offers an engaging and dynamic introduction to the projects of tomorrow. Expect original voices, compelling storytelling, and a unique insight into the next wave of short films in development.

HOST

Herman Dahl is a filmmaker from Oslo, Norway. He started out in front of the camera as a child actor in the Norwegian drama series Jenter, before building an audience of around 400,000 followers across social media, with over 30 million total views. He later moved behind the camera, writing and directing short films, music videos and scripts. He studied directing at Prague Film School and has recently completed an MA in Screenwriting at London Film School.

THE JURY

Martin Hammar has been a Film Consultant at FilmCloud and the Västra Götaland Region since 2013. Before his current position, he worked with scripts and series development at SVT Drama. He has worked as a script editor and developer, producer and director and has been a teacher of directing at the Institutet för Högre TV-utbildning in Gothenburg for several years. In his position, he has listened to many presentations of projects for both feature and short films, television series, and also other audiovisual works.

Marin Håskjold (b. 1993, Trondheim) is a Norwegian artist and filmmaker educated at the Film Art School in Kabelvåg (2014–2017). Her short film What Is a Woman? has received several awards, including the Amanda Award in 2021. Håskjold is co-owner of the distribution company Jack Filmbyrå, which works to promote and distribute artistic cinema. In 2021, she co-founded the production company Amfitrite Produksjon together with producer and curator Una Mathiesen Gjerde

 

Jeremy Laurichesse is a French short film producer at Sombre Sunday Productions. He also works as a film programmer at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and has extensive experience as a film instructor with diverse audiences in France and internationally.
